About the role

The Operations Program Manager (OPM II) is needed for the APKWS Development Program within Precision Guided Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line. The APKWS Development Program contributes to over $250M in annual sales revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operations team and act as the main interface between the program office, design engineering, NPI, and supply chain.
  • Develop and manage competitive, compliant, and accurate proposals.
  • Manage Operations performance against the baseline by monitoring cost, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Provide leadership consistent with the Mission and BAE Systems Guiding Principles.
  • Promote a strong sense of teamwork among personnel supporting various phases of the program efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on development projects with a focus on cost avoidance and Design for Unit Production costs.
  • Understanding of Lean and Six-Sigma principles.
  • Diplomatic, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage and report status of projects within a project management discipline.
  • Ability to provide strategic contributions while successfully executing on tactical objectives.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years’ work experience in Operations / Supply Chain.
  • Proposal experience with a focus on cost competitive proposals.
  • Proficiency in office technologies including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Proficiency with continuous process improvement methodologies and tool; strong group facilitation skills.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
