Apigee Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Implements Enterprise API and Integration platforms strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of hybrid (Cloud & On-prem) infrastructure architecture
• Performs deployment/upgrades of APIGEE Hybrid on AKS clusters using existing automation written in Terraform/python scripts.
• Performs deployment/upgrades of APIGEE X using existing automation written in Terraform
• Enhances automation scripts (Terraform, Python, Ansible) to support APIGEE hybrid/X upgrades
• Supports AKS upgrades on the clusters used by APIGEE Hybrid
• Performs periodic capacity planning/infrastructure expansion for APIGEE Hybrid/X
• Maintains monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting of APIS deployed on APIGEE Hybrid/X
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with the infrastructure on which the APIGEE Hybrid/X are deployed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Enterprise API Management and Integration Platforms like APIGEE Hybrid, Apigee X etc.
• Hands-on cloud engineering experience (Azure, AWS and/or GCP) building effective cloud technology solutions
• Experience in cloud architecture (cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, security, costing)
• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms like APIGEE Hybrid, Apigee X
• Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE, troubleshooting API failures
• Experience with tools like Postman, JMeter etc.
• Good understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service Technologies (SOAP, REST), OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, SSO implementation, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, KVM, Caching
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline for Apigee
• Expertise in Kubernetes to automate application deployment, scaling and, management
• Experience with containerization
• Experience with any of the Source Control Tools such as Bitbucket, Git Hub etc.
• Experienced with languages such as Python, Go, Bash and/or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of AGILE principals and methodologies, with experience in the SCRUM and SAFe frameworks
