API Architect
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) expertise to support the development and enhancement of enterprise account opening applications within a corporate trust environment. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting business-critical applications while working closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java full-stack technologies and IBM BAW.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and implement user stories within Agile development cycles.
- Build and maintain workflow solutions and business process automation capabilities using IBM BAW.
- Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and system integration activities.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and support materials.
- Support application deployments and production environments as needed.
- Work closely with QA teams to validate functionality and ensure software quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, development standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong experience with Java full-stack development.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
- Experience developing, testing, and deploying enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working with financial services, trust, or account management applications.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and business process management solutions.
- Experience integrating applications across multiple enterprise platforms.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or similar.

Schedule
The role is offered on a contract basis with a hybrid schedule of 3+ days onsite per week.
