API 510/570/653 Inspector - TAR work
About the role
Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an API 510/570/653 Inspector for a 3-4 week project starting in mid-late July in Midland, Texas. The position involves analyzing piping systems and circuits under the direction of Project Manager, Team Leader, and interacting with clients.
Responsibilities
- Review and research documents to determine piping systems and circuits
- Interface with the client on technical matters involving Inspection procedures and capabilities
- Provide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and other coworkers
- Stay abreast of new developments in API-certified Inspection
- Evaluate test results according to applicable standards/specifications/procedures
- Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors
- Offer clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors
- Solve technical issues in the field
Requirements
- Current API 510, 570 and/or API 653 certification with 5+ years' experience minimum
- Additional certifications a plus
- NDE and Drafting background preferred
- Valid TWIC card (required)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
- Excellent computer and organizational skills (must)
- Self-motivated and driven individual (must)
- Able to apply examination criteria in accordance with applicable standards/specifications/procedures (must)
Qualifications
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 6-7 days per week
- Knowledge of API standards and inspection procedures
- Experience in NDE and drafting
- Passport and ability to travel (willingness to travel is required)

Benefits
Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. Per Diem may be available depending on distance from home address to client facility.

Schedule
This is a short-term, project-based position working 12-hour shifts, 6-7 days per week for a period of approximately 3-4 weeks beginning on or around July 20, 2026.
