Apartment Maintenance Technician | MAA Westchase

About the role

Join us as a Apartment Maintenance Technician and perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. You will prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks. The role includes following a planned preventative maintenance schedule and following up with residents after repairs are complete.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units
• Maintain and repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule
• Follow up with residents after repairs are complete

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence
• EPA Type II or Universal and/or Pool Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
