Apartment Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Makowsky Ringel Greenberg, a longstanding name in Memphis property management, is seeking a technician to join their established operation. This role involves working across an apartment community, handling a full ticket load that includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, lock work, and make-ready prep. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, with rotating on-call responsibilities as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs
• Handle lock rekeying and preventive maintenance tasks
• Prepare units for new residents (make-ready prep)
• Document work daily to maintain a clean maintenance history
• Manage competing priorities and time across the property independently
• Interact with residents professionally

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required; Universal EPA 608 preferred
• Two or more years of apartment maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building systems
• Physical ability to perform assigned tasks
• Familiarity with building codes and safety standards, including OSHA
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of own tools and a reliable vehicle
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass background check, credit check, and drug screening
