Essential Functions
- Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and some carpentry as needed
- Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager and or Lead Maintenance
- Repair structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
- Complete preventative maintenance program
- Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
- Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems (preferred but not required)
Key Competencies
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, vendors and team members
- Ability to use power and hand tools to effectively and safely complete maintenance tasks
- Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Must have time management skills
- Positive attitude and team player
Requirements
- One year of property maintenance experience preferred
- Willing to rotate 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call
- Possession of valid driver’s license and up to date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation
- Prior to employment pass criminal background screening
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work involves daily exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, humidity, wind and precipitation
- Frequent contact with residents in and outside of their apartment homes including those with disabilities
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk up and downstairs, and able to walk the property in its entirety
- Able to work independently or as part of a team, as needed
Salary & Benefits
- Salary for this full-time position will be commensurate with experience
