About the role
500 & 520 Park Avenue Apartments, located in the historic Mount Vernon area of Baltimore, City, is in need of a qualified worker to join our service team. This person will be expected to respond to maintenance work orders, perform preventative maintenance as directed, and prepare units for move-in. Ideal candidates will work well both with a team and individually. Excellent customer service skills required; some prior experience in residential maintenance is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Perform HVAC troubleshooting and routine maintenance
- Repair and maintain appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing
- Hang, prep, and sand drywall
- Paint apartment units and common areas
- Maintain grounds, ensuring safety and cleanliness
- Assist with snow removal as needed
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays)
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in plumbing, electrical, or carpentry required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in residential property maintenance
- Must be available for on-call emergencies (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 85 lbs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Pay
$20/hour (based on experience)
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
