About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing leasing professional to join our team. Since 1958, Campus Apartments has been dedicated to providing superb housing for college students. This role reports to the General Manager and is responsible for assisting with day-to-day property operations to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.
Responsibilities
- Assist with leasing to maintain high occupancy levels, including mailing renewal offers, logging responses, and managing property availability.
- Ensure an accurate record of availability compatible with the lease renewal report.
- Approve, enter, and present all rental applications to the General Manager for execution.
- Manage property licenses and the renewal process by liaising with legal counsel and the city.
- Assist with the check-out process, including accepting keys, performing inspections of vacated units, and ensuring compliance with final account statements.
- Ensure leases and resident check-ins are accurate and efficient.
- Investigate and respond to resident concerns/complaints in a timely manner to foster good public relations.
- Assist in preparing weekly reports related to the property’s performance.
- Help develop and implement advertising/marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace.
- Assist in creating and implementing resident retention programs.
- Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors.
- Answer telephones as needed.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing and typing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is preferred.
- Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, telephone, PC, typewriter, calculator, key machine, key card system, vacuum).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Entrata is preferred.
- Accurate typing and record-keeping abilities.
- Strong numerical analysis and data transfer skills.
- Ability to prepare documents with grammatical and legal correctness.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all federal, state, and local laws.
- Ability to follow through with paperwork and meet deadlines.
- Positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply logical thinking to practical situations.
