AP1000 SRO Instructor
About the role
As a SRO Instructor you will support the new generation of reactors including the AP1000® and the operating fleet from all over the world. Building your skills based on actual operating plant experience combined with advanced plant design will be a major differentiator and accelerator for your career in the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the SAT process of the initial and continuing education programs of their specialty.
- Perform the analysis, design and implementation of initial and training needs in their specialty.
- Design, development and implementation of the sessions corresponding to the initial and training courses of licensed and non-licensed operations personnel, including teaching sessions in the classroom, plant, and the simulator.
- Carry out the analysis, design and implementation of initial and continuous training needs of their specialty
- Collaborate in the analysis and implementation of corrections in the simulator when any type of malfunction is detected, also collaborating in the tests that are required.
- Coordinate training, providing support to training committees and/or planning training programs.
- Define and collaborate in the development of the supporting documentation required by the assigned activities; as well as in the maintenance and updating of the documentary support already available.
- Define and collaborate in the development of advanced educational means (simulators, multimedia, videos, models...) related to the assigned functions; as well as in the maintenance and updating of those already available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR
- Certified Navy Nuclear Operator
- Licensed NRC Reactor Operator - RO License
- Licensed NRC SRO License
- Naval Nuclear Operator or Officer, or those with a Bachelor's or Master's degree holders in scientific or technological careers and with a training vocation are required to work as an AP1000 SRO Training Instructor for the Westinghouse.
- Nuclear Reactor Operator Experience
- Minimum 8 years applicable nuclear experience
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain unescorted access at Nuclear Power Plants
Pay
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
