AP1000 Instructor

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of the SAT process of the initial and continuing education programs of their specialty.
• Perform the analysis, design and implementation of initial and training needs in their specialty.
• Develop the sessions corresponding to the initial and training courses of licensed and non-licensed operations personnel, including teaching sessions in the classroom, plant, and the simulator.
• Manage the analysis, design and implementation of initial and training needs of their specialty
• Collaborate in the analysis and implementation of corrections in the simulator when you detect any type of malfunction, also collaborating in the tests that you require.
• Cook up training, providing support to training committees and planning training programs.
• Define and collaborate in the development of the supporting documentation required by the assigned activities; and in the maintenance and updating of the documentary support already available.
• Define and collaborate in the development of advanced educational means (simulators, multimedia, videos, or models...) related to the assigned; and in the maintenance and updating of those already available.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering OR
• A High School Diploma/GED holder AND one of the experience requirements:
• Navy Nuclear Operator
• NRC Reactor Operator (RO) License
• NRC Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License
• Plant specific SRO Certification
• Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Engineer
• Commercial or civilian nuclear experience

• Working knowledge of operating procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, and other Technical Documents.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time to remote locations.
• You will work occasional long hours, rotating shifts, and weekends.
• Maintain unescorted access at a Nuclear Power Plant.
• Instructor experience
• Navy Nuclear Instructor
• Navy Nuclear Simulator Instructor

• Working knowledge of the associated Training procedures, INPO documents and NRC regulations.
• Working knowledge of the AP1000 and legacy plant PWR systems.
• Working knowledge of AP1000 or legacy PWR integrated operations and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Electronic data storage/retrieval databases like EDMS.
• Working Knowledge to Training to manage assignments associated with the implementation of training materials.
• Knowledge and ability to write test questions that meet nuclear industry best practices.
• Working knowledge of searching technical references such as the NRC and INPO websites for relevant information (such as lessons learned/operating experience) to include in training materials.
• Working knowledge of a Learning Management System(s)

Pay

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $100/hour to $110/hour.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days onsite.
