AP/AR Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an entry level accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting efforts in a multifaceted group of companies. This position will have a wide range of responsibilities impacting the financial statement and control environments for a group of operational, development, and construction entities.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage subcontractor draws to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Manage lien and sworn statements waivers
• Request W-9 forms from vendors
• Collect banking information from vendors for electronic payments
• Research past-due invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors
• Collaborate with operations for invoice approvals
• Validate hours, deductions, and process payroll accurately
• Review new hire packets for completeness and accuracy
• Coordinate with operations to meet payroll deadlines
• Complete I-9 forms and E-Verify processes

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry or similar experience
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Experience in development, construction, hospitality, restaurants a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft software products
• Ability to learn new software
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
