AOS III-Staffing Coordinator

About the role

Western State Hospital is actively recruiting for the Staffing Coordinator position within the nursing department. This position oversees operational and administrative support in a centralized scheduling office. The candidate will ensure adequate staffing coverage throughout the facility on a daily basis. Applicant must be able to work independently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing coverage throughout the facility on a daily basis

Schedule

• 2nd shift: 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, Monday–Friday
• Must work every other weekend
• Holidays and overtime, as needed, will be required
• Nursing department requires all employees to attend pre-service orientation for two weeks; attendance is required

Qualifications

• Excellent KSA's and competence in data entry, typing and clerical skills are required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and boundaries are essential
• Experience using MS Office Suite required
• Must be able to work independently
• Demonstrates ability to organize and work under pressure balancing a variety of priorities

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in automated data systems is preferred
• Prior experience in administrative duties in a fast-paced highly stressful environment which required precision and detail work is preferred
• Experience in handling confidential and sensitive matters is preferred
• Ability to generate reports from various software systems preferred
• Bi-Lingual in Spanish is preferred
