About the role
The AOG Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in delivering responsive, high-quality mobile maintenance support to aircraft grounded at offsite locations. This field-based role is the front line of support for our clients during AOG events.
Responsibilities
- Respond rapidly to AOG calls and mobile maintenance requests during assigned shifts, often with minimal advance notice.
- Travel to various locations nationwide to provide on-site maintenance support for grounded aircraft.
- Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues.
- Execute necessary repairs and maintenance tasks in the field with precision, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Operate effectively in diverse weather conditions and operational environments while maintaining unwavering safety standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and face of Jet Access during on-site maintenance events.
- Provide clear, professional communication to clients regarding repair progress, timelines, and any complications that arise.
- Closely coordinate with the AOG Supervisor for project status updates, tooling requirements, travel arrangements, and technical documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with internal departments including Maintenance Control, Parts, and Scheduling to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Represent Jet Access's commitment to excellence and professionalism while working at client facilities and remote locations.
- Complete detailed work orders, repair logs, and compliance paperwork accurately and thoroughly to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Document all maintenance actions performed, parts used, and inspection findings in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain and manage assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicle to ensure readiness for immediate deployment.
- Coordinate parts procurement and logistics to minimize aircraft downtime and expedite return to service.
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Access's continued growth and success.
Requirements
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, preferably in corporate or general aviation environments.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, maintenance drawings, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
- Experience with a variety of aircraft types and systems, including turbine and piston aircraft.
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations (Parts 43, 91, 135) and maintenance documentation requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven customer service abilities.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles.
- Current passport or ability to obtain one for potential international travel.
- Willingness to travel on short notice and work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to work in all weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Must pass required background checks and pre-employment screening.

Benefits
Starting hourly rate of $36.00 – $55.00 / hour depending on experience. Overtime pay for all hours over 40 hours per week. Daily meal per diem when travelling, plus paid travel expenses.

Schedule
Variable travel schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Non-traveling hours worked on a standard shift at a base location.
