AOD counselor Portsmouth

Responsibilities

• Counsels clients individually, in groups, and in families.
• Performs diagnostic and assessment procedures based on qualifications and abilities.
• Coordinates various clinical activities.
• Maintains contact with family members, guardians, referral sources, and authorized outside sources.
• Maintains documentation related to caseload and program function.
• Attends regularly scheduled executive committee meetings and treatment staffing meetings.
• Serves on various committees for Quality Assurance purposes.
• Conducts in-service training as assigned.
• Makes necessary reports to supervisor and/or Clinical Director.
• Assumes additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• CDCA, CDCA-II, LCDC, LCDC-II, LCDC-III, or LICDC certification.
• Experience working with adolescents, teens, and adults with an AOD diagnosis, or AOD work history is preferred.
• Adequate knowledge and ability to navigate EHR (Electronic Health Record) system.
