Greeter Responsibilities

• Greet members
• Help members load orders onto conveyor belt
• Determine member packing preferences
• Answer questions and provide information on special promotions
• Thank members
• Absorb items left in carts, check under items, and position them for scanning
• Pack member orders into boxes and load to a separate cart or flatbed
• Check packaging for tampering
• Follow safety and security procedures
• Perform duties according to departmental procedures

Additional Duties

• May assist with self-checkout operations
• Monitor registers for errors and keep belt area clean
• Maintain cleanliness of register area and general front-end area
• Perform set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area
• Transfer pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to the steel shelves and bulk wall for storage, or directly to the sales floor
• Stock merchandise
• Clean sales floor debris
• Ensure correct product signage; create computer-generated signs
• Label unmarked product with item number
• Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials
• Assist with department duties as necessary
• Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
