About the role

The Anticipated P/T .6 World Languages Teacher (French) position is part of the 2026-2027 School Year at Mountain Lakes High School. This is a tenure track position requiring NJDOE K-12 French certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach French language courses to students in grades 9-12
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into the curriculum
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• NJDOE K-12 French certification
• Bachelor's degree in French or related field
• Experience teaching French at the high school level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Passing scores on the Praxis II: Content Knowledge test for French
• Knowledge of current pedagogical approaches and methodologies

Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
