ANTICIPATED Band and Chorus Teacher

About the Role

RMSST 4-8 is a non-traditional Magnet school for students in 4th-8th grades opening in August 2026, focusing on STEM, interdisciplinary project-based learning, and the Design process. The band/chorus teacher will teach general music for elementary students as well as a combination of band and chorus for middle school students.

Responsibilities

• Teach general music for elementary students
• Teach a combination of band and chorus for middle school students
• Collaborate with other connections teachers
• Host at least 2 programs per year
• Organize field trips
• Lead fundraisers

Requirements

• Hold a certificate in Music Education issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
• Must have already passed the GACE in the required field
• Flexible, possess a growth mindset, and collaborate positively and effectively with others
• Take initiative
