Anticipated Alternate School Intervention Program Teacher

About the role

Middletown Township Public Schools is looking for a qualified Teacher for the Alternate School Intervention Program for the anticipated period of September 30, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Requirements and qualifications

• NJ Secondary Teaching Certificate required (English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and/or Teacher of the Handicapped)
• NJ School Social Worker, School Psychologist, or School Counseling certificate preferred
• High School teaching experience preferred
• Understanding of NJ Student Learning Standards and differentiation of instruction preferred
• Knowledge of academic intervention strategies preferred
• Experience with Intervention and Referral Services (strong understanding of effective emotional and academic interventions) preferred
• Ability to provide social skills support and skill based instruction to students preferred
• Knowledge of ADA and 504 Accommodation Plans preferred
• Evidence of effective counseling skills for regular and special education students preferred

Pay and benefits

• Salary range: $60,673 – $122,533
• Terms and benefits per MTEA collective bargaining agreement
