Antibiotic Resistance Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

About the role

We're seeking experts in antibiotic resistance to contribute to the development of high-quality training data for large-scale language models. This data will enable these models to be used in various applications including scientific discovery, education, and research.

Responsibilities

• Challenge advanced language models on topics related to antibiotic resistance, microbial genetics, bacterial pathogenesis, horizontal gene transfer, efflux pumps, resistance mechanisms, antimicrobial stewardship, and clinical microbiology.
• Document every failure mode encountered during model interactions to improve model reasoning.
• Converse with the model on lab scenarios and theoretical microbiology questions.
• Verify the factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses.
• Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• A PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, or a closely related life-science field is preferred.
• Peer-reviewed publications, wet-lab or clinical experience with antimicrobial resistance, or public health surveillance projects are desirable.
• Clear, metacognitive communication skills are essential.

Skills

• Strong understanding of language models and their limitations.

We offer a pay range of $8-to-$65 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed above.
