About the Role

An Associate Manager of Fabric facilitates and executes Design’s vision through sourcing and developing brand-appropriate fabrics from global markets, supporting brand goals and business initiatives. This role provides “one-voice” communication to mills and suppliers, acting as a liaison between U.S. home offices, the HK fabric office, global market mills and suppliers, and worldwide manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

  • Help facilitate mill meetings and mill days.
  • Work with Design and Product Development (PD) on all fabric development and sampling needs.
  • Attend weekly fabric meetings to receive fabric development and sample yardage requests.
  • Follow up on fabric requests from Design with suppliers.
  • Maintain the fabric chart with ready dates and report to Design and PD teams in weekly meetings.
  • Maintain the fabric library.
  • Maintain PLM with fabric POs.

Requirements

  • Textile or fashion degree.
  • 7–10 years of textile experience.
  • Textile technical knowledge.
