About the Role
An Associate Manager of Fabric facilitates and executes Design’s vision through sourcing and developing brand-appropriate fabrics from global markets, supporting brand goals and business initiatives. This role provides “one-voice” communication to mills and suppliers, acting as a liaison between U.S. home offices, the HK fabric office, global market mills and suppliers, and worldwide manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities
- Help facilitate mill meetings and mill days.
- Work with Design and Product Development (PD) on all fabric development and sampling needs.
- Attend weekly fabric meetings to receive fabric development and sample yardage requests.
- Follow up on fabric requests from Design with suppliers.
- Maintain the fabric chart with ready dates and report to Design and PD teams in weekly meetings.
- Maintain the fabric library.
- Maintain PLM with fabric POs.
Requirements
- Textile or fashion degree.
- 7–10 years of textile experience.
- Textile technical knowledge.
