About The Role
Our Greater Philadelphia area client is seeking an Ansible Automation Engineer to join their team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This individual will lead infrastructure automation initiatives across Linux and cloud environments, helping reduce manual operational work through scalable, repeatable automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and Terraform
- Build scalable automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments
- Automate processes across Linux (Red Hat/OpenShift), cloud, and infrastructure platforms
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and Engineering teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation workflows, playbooks, and pipelines
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and automation standards
- Support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives in a hybrid cloud environment
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible (AAP, playbooks, roles, modules, automation workflows)
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Linux Administration Experience, Including Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenShift
- Supporting Cloud Platforms Azure AWS Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Scripting Experience With YAML Python
- Supporting infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment automation
- Strong documentation and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a highly technical, non-customer-facing environment
Bonus Skills
- Windows Server administration experience
- PowerShell scripting
- Perl scripting
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering. Preferred: Master's in Computer Science, Master's in Information Technology, Master's in Engineering, MBA (Technology Management).
