Superior Metal Technologies is seeking an experienced Anodize Supervisor to oversee aluminum finishing operations in our 120,000 square foot facility.
About the role
This position manages production processes, ensures safety and quality standards, optimizes workflow, and leads a team of production staff. The role drives operational efficiency while maintaining high product quality and safety compliance.
Schedule
Day shift, typically 8 to 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday (weekends as needed).
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production operations in the aluminum/paint finishing department, ensuring timely and efficient production schedules.
- Develop and implement production plans and strategies to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
- Monitor production metrics and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment and machinery, coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive measures.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and lead a team of production workers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
- Prepare and manage the production budget, including cost control measures and resource allocation.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, including Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless production processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide insights to enhance operational workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in production management, preferably in the aluminum finishing or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and lean methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metric tracking.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance standards related to aluminum finishing processes.
Pay
$25–$32 per hour.
