Annuity Analyst I

Responsibilities
- Analyze non-qualified and qualified annuity applications and perform data entry for new business and changes for both variable and non-variable applications.
- Perform 1035 exchanges for non-qualified annuities and correspond with the financial institution being replaced to obtain annuity funds.
- Update, review, and maintain Salary Allotment Plan file. Ensure plan eligibility and guidelines are maintained along with creating, updating, and maintaining manual and computer records as required.
- Process transfers and rollovers received from other financial providers to assist in expediting exchange of assets. Correspond with financial provider being replaced to obtain necessary funds.
- Receive and service a wide variety of telephone calls from our field force, members, and employers regarding qualified plans and annuity products.
- Review correspondence received concerning Modern Woodmen’s qualified plans and deferred annuity to determine the appropriate action.
- Remain current on new and existing tax laws surrounding qualified plans.
- Assist in the development of new systems to help streamline and create efficiencies within the department.
- Attend webinars, conference calls, and conferences throughout the year to keep up to date on product and industry trends, changes in rules and regulations, and administration processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience preferred.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building positive relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for continuous learning and a desire to expand knowledge of annuity products, retirement planning, and the financial services industry.
Pay
The hourly pay for this position is $22.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time office-focused, hourly position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday–Friday, with a flexible start time between 7 a.m.–9 a.m. Office-focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
