Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented Animation Assistant Editor Temp for its cinematics Creative Development team. This role is a crucial support position within a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to support and elevate a high-performing editorial department while helping diagnose problems and offer solutions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn alongside a growing and talented team.

This is a 6-month temporary position based in Irvine, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement (some on-site and some work-from-home).

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the animation editorial team to organize, track, and catalog animation shots and sequences.
  • Prep, track, and deliver files to and from other departments, such as Integrated Marketing, Sound, Motion Graphics, Localization, and game teams.
  • Accurately deliver final materials, including correct formats, labels, slates, and languages, to clients.
  • Prep projects from templates and manage workspaces on shared storage.
  • Provide project media support via ingest, outputs, and organization.
  • Recognize, troubleshoot, and solve technical problems independently.
  • Maintain a shared media storage environment by archiving and organizing media.
  • Maintain an archive library of past video projects and materials using asset management software.
  • Generate accurate documentation and co-manage the data library.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a professional post-production environment.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Production Suite applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced video compression techniques and associated software packages.
  • Strong understanding of all required formats for final media and client deliverables.
  • Knowledge of current industry-standard post-production workflows and organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with deadlines and quick project turnover.
  • Highly self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and passion for Blizzard games and/or video games in general.
  • Knowledge of animation post-production workflow.
  • Knowledge of post-production-specific hardware.
  • Knowledge of Digital Asset Management software.

Pay

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $30.47 - $56.35 hourly. The specific range and offer will be based on relevant experience, performance, and work location. Employees in this role may also be eligible for incentive compensation, though it is not guaranteed.
