Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited College of Veterinary Medicine.

Licenses And Certifications: Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Texas. Current DEA registration. Valid Texas Driver License (preferred).

  • Minimum of five (5) years of veterinary experience.
  • Shelter medicine or high-volume spay/neuter experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring veterinary support staff preferred.

Special Requirements

  • Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's license or higher and insurable under our auto policy.

Physical Demands

  • The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects.
  • Physical abilities required: climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.

Starting Salary

$155,706 annually.
