About the role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of animal welfare and care in our swine operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the care and feeding of animals, ensure their health and well-being, maintain proper inventory of feed and supplies, and adhere to safety procedures.
- Identify and report issues to supervisors promptly.
- Develop and maintain accurate record-keeping for the animals and ensure consistent environmental standards in barns.
- Promote teamwork and contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations
- Willingness to perform hard physical labor
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary
Special Job Requirements
- Ability to walk, stoop, bend, climb, perform repetitive motions, distinguish colors, hear, and lift weights of up to 50 lbs.
