ANIMAL CARE ASSISTANT

About the role

Seasonal opportunities for gaining experience in Customer Service and Animal Care at Wicksteed Park. As an Animal Care Assistant in the animal department, you will ensure high standards of animal welfare and health and safety, engage with visitors through animal experiences, and maintain the effective daily operation of animal attractions.

• Ensure all customers have an excellent and consistent visit each time.
• Engage with visitors through animal experiences.
• Ensure safe, efficient, effective, and humane treatment of all animal livestock.
• Maintain day-to-day operation of animal attractions in line with company and brand standards.
• Maintain records to monitor animal care and health and safety compliance, including daily check sheets.

Requirements

• Completed a Level 3 qualification in Animal Care.
• Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Value teamwork and collaboration.
• Flexible availability, including weekends during peak season.

Pay

Pay will be in line with National Minimum Wage.

Schedule

Seasonal role with flexible hours, varying based on business needs. Availability for weekend work and weekday shifts during peak season is required.
