Angiography Technician - Angiography

Responsibilities

• Absorb and assist the physician during peripheral or neuro diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform radiographic work on various types of radiographic equipment to ensure all work is completed competently, timely, and efficiently.
• Aid in patient care and safety within the Interventional Radiology lab environment.
• Rotate call for emergency procedures with a 30-minute response time if employed in the Interventional Radiology Lab.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program.
• Current certification with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Radiologic Technologist license from the Ohio Department of Health.
• BLS certification.
• An excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work well with others and facilitate teamwork.
• The ability to exercise independent judgment and initiate independent actions.
• The ability to work well in high-stress situations.
• The ability to work closely with and anticipate the needs of the patient and physician, and to troubleshoot equipment quickly and efficiently.
• The ability to tolerate long workdays and call hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year recent hospital angiographic interventional experience.
• One year recent hospital Angiographic/Interventional Radiology, or Surgical Radiology Technologist experience.
