About the Role

The Angio Technologist produces high-quality examinations while ensuring proper and professional care of the patient in Medical Imaging Services or the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This position assists physicians in performing interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures, applying precise positioning techniques, accurate technical settings, and monitoring equipment functionality. Constant mental attention and sterile technique are required.

Responsibilities

  • Preps patients for procedures using sterile technique.
  • Observes patients during exams/procedures, reporting any abnormal activity.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization-related information.
  • Identifies care needs of patients and implements interventions using necessary equipment for pediatric, adult, and late adult populations.
  • Participates in quality assessment and improvement programs.
  • Completes additional duties such as on-call shifts, transporting patients, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, and peer review.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist by the State of Maryland.
  • Certificate in Cardiac Interventional Radiography or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (strongly preferred for Cardiac Catheterization Lab roles).
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional Life Support training as applicable.

Pay

Pay Range: $35.41 - $53.12 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The range may vary based on location.

Schedule

Full-time positions range from 0.5 FTE (20 hours weekly) up to 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly).
