About the Role

Case assignments include OB/GYN, orthopedics, spine, interventional radiology, podiatry, plastics, healthy pediatrics, and bariatrics. Responsibilities involve directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, managing patients during anesthesia, conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, obtaining patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, and monitoring patients' physiological conditions.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments in OB/GYN, orthopedics, spine, interventional radiology, podiatry, plastics, healthy pediatrics, and bariatrics
• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Medical management of patients rendered unconscious or insensible to pain during surgery and medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment and obtaining/verifying patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical interventions as needed

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX completion
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
