Anesthesiologist
About the role
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC or BE Anesthesiologist to join Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. The position involves practicing general anesthesiology, including neuro, OB, thoracic, and regional anesthesia. Cardiac and pediatric cases are excluded. The role includes a teaching faculty appointment with Baylor College of Medicine, offering numerous academic opportunities with medical students, residents, and fellows.
The selected individual will join a large established team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs, along with nursing, anesthesia tech, and administrative support, in a mixed anesthesia care team/solo staffing model.
Schedule
The work schedule is Monday-Friday with weekend and evening call rotated equally among the group. Responsibilities include:
- Approximately 1 weekday call shift per month, with pre and post call days off
- 1-2 weekend call shifts (12 hours) per month, with premium pay
Additional earnings opportunities are available for working after hours and weekends.
About the facility
Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed acute care Level I trauma center and academic site for Baylor College of Medicine medical students. The facility uses the Epic EMR system.
Pay
This is an employed position with a competitive salary and productivity bonus.

Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
- Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology (active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists)
