Anesthesiologist Assistant

About the role

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking an Anesthesiology Assistant to join a collaborative team at HCA Florida University Hospital in Davie, FL. The hospital is a 165‑bed, private‑room facility with infrastructure to expand beyond 600 beds, opened in November 2021 on the Nova Southeastern University campus, featuring spacious ORs and large private patient rooms.

Requirements

• OB experience required
• Pediatric experience desirable but not required
• Neuro experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for a diverse case mix including General, GI, Obstetrics, Neuro, Complex Neuro/Spine, and Bariatric procedures
• Work within a team of 10 General Anesthesiologists and 14 APPs covering 9 sites of service
• Support Level III NICU and pediatric anesthesiology services as needed

Pay

• Premium pay at $170/hr for work beyond agreed‑upon shift or for extra shifts picked up
• Additional $10,000 stipend for OB experience
• Additional $10,000 stipend for Neuro experience

Schedule

• Schedule available: 4 ten‑hour shifts (4, 10s)
• Required beeper call: second call – 1 weekday and 1:4 weekends per month
• Specific call times: Friday 5:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Sunday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
