Android Software Developer, Code: 2018-19

About the role

Analyze software requirements, consult with hardware engineers, formulate and design software systems, develop and test software systems, and provide maintenance support.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints involving management reporting systems
• Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system
• Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Designs, develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation
• Consults with customers concerning maintenance of software system, and the ability to modify the system

Requirements

• Requires U.S. Masters Degree/foreign degree equivalent in Science, Engineering, or Technology, or in the alternative, a Bachelors Degree/foreign degree equivalent plus 5 years of applicable employment experience
• Must have legal authority to permanently work in the United States

Qualifications

• Skills in Java, Oracle, IMS, DB2, Unix, and JDBC are required
• Experience on Android platform is preferred
