About the role

As a Technology Consultant 2, you will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned business requirements.
• Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions to guide the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, implement changes, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth software transitions.
• Actively resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base.
• Write, test, and document code, scripts, and processes following organizational standards.
• Solve technical problems and build impactful components/libraries.
• Deliver high-quality work and mentor junior engineers in technical skills.
• Conduct root cause analysis to address systemic issues and lead action plans.
• Design integrated systems enabling cross-functional teams to deliver value at scale, speed, and reliability.
• Manage technical debt and drive initiatives to eliminate it.
• Anticipate scaling, latency, and durability challenges, guiding teams in mitigation.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement secure practices early in development.
• Assess technical risks and implement prevention strategies.
• Evaluate squad delivery practices, recommend improvements, and drive change.
• Identify and eliminate duplication of effort, promoting reuse across teams.
• Measure team performance and support individual development.
• Explore emerging technologies, lead prototype development, and incorporate into architectural solutions.
• Coordinate between various distributed delivery teams and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App Store or Android market.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.
• Experience providing technical leadership.
• Airline industry experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may substitute for each year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.

• Experience with Observability principles and tools (logging, monitoring, alerting, change & incident management).
• Leverage AI platforms such as GitHub Co-Pilot for productivity improvement.
