About the project

Nerdiacs, in partnership with Alphabet's team, delivered a fully connected "device wall" for the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The installation replicated a wave and played 6K footage across 143 different devices from a variety of manufacturers.

Scope of work

• Designed, created and built software, hardware, infrastructure and metalwork
• Powered and synchronised devices from smartwatches, smartphones, tablets and TVs, all running Android
• Integrated Alphabet's code to bring a harmonious experience display to Barcelona

Outcome

The installation became Android's showpiece for Mobile World Congress, opening the event with a press conference. It continued to run autonomously for the duration of the event with day and night mode, displaying visuals that impressed visitors and even the competition.
