About the Role
This position serves Rheem North America, located in Roswell, GA, and follows a hybrid work arrangement. Team members work in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mobile applications for the Android and/or iOS platforms
- Develop and improve software architecture, testing strategies, developer tooling, and UX for our mobile applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with product managers and QA to support validation activities
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Participate in the development of technical documentation
- Works under some supervision of department leadership with independence on projects in scope
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- An innovative solution-first spirit and an ability to think creatively
- 3+ years of experience in mobile apps development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience
- Proficient in Swift and/or Kotlin
- Experience with modern mobile app development frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose)
- Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team (e.g., product managers, engineers, business teams) and external subject matter experts
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Experience with LLM coding agents
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or other cross-platform mobile app development frameworks
- Experience with cloud technologies and services such as AWS, Azure, or Firebase
- Experience with IoT and smart connected products (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi APIs)
- Experience with mobile app security best practices
- Experience with mobile app analytics
- Experience with testing frameworks
- HVAC / Water Heating industry experience
