Anatomic Laboratory Assistant

Principal Job Functions

• Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
• Performs Anatomic Pathology specimen accessioning and processing per written procedures as directed by Anatomic Laboratory Assistant Manager.
• Reviews requisitions/paperwork for test orders and adds appropriate notation to assure all information is entered accurately into computer system.
• Performs data entry of patient and specimen information into computer system. Orders additional tests as needed.
• Performs instrument/equipment preventative maintenance with appropriate documentation.
• Maintains reagent and supply inventory.
• Prepares and maintains chemical/reagent solution supplies with appropriate documentation.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
