About the Role

Delta's OP&P Crew Planning & Performance team is responsible for maximizing crew availability by forecasting demand and optimally placing supply, delivering analytical insights to improve Delta's operational performance. The broader team links planning decisions to crew performance outcomes to continuously improve results, scales and standardizes best practices across the pilot and flight attendant crew divisions, and connects the dots between crew performance and the broader operation and enterprise.
The Analytics Specialist will work closely with leaders on the IFS and FOP Crew teams, as well as the broader OP&P organization, to develop creative solutions to current challenges. We are looking for data-curious individuals who seek to understand processes and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement. Responsibilities
- Partner with both IFS and FOP crew teams to identify and solve opportunities in Crew Planning.
- Create insightful executive-level and frontline dashboards using data visualization tools.
- Develop analytics solutions to divisional challenges and operationalize with modern tools.
- Forecast future operational metrics and work with business units to include them in their planning and execution processes.
- Improve historic processes within the division by implementing data-driven solutions.
- Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models, and project development.
- Support development of executive-level decks and present findings to business leaders.
- Work in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and aggressive timelines.
- Identify and resolve or escalate, as appropriate, potential roadblocks within projects.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in analysis, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field.
- Strong business acumen, statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex processes with cross-functional teams.
- Strong written, presentation, and verbal skills, with the ability to produce concise, relevant documents and presentations for senior leaders.
- Be a strong team player, detail-oriented, and perform well under pressure.
- Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Python, and PowerBI/Tableau required, as well as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- At least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
- Direct experience communicating with stakeholders, delivering projects end-to-end, and working collaboratively to drive improvement in the overall analytical support of Delta's operation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an operational role.
- Knowledge of Crew (FOP/IFS) operation and data.
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of work experience in Data Analytics, Decision Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related analytical field OR a Master’s level degree OR equivalent experience and/or a combination of both.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field.
- Exposure to forecasting methods to predict future performance and identify trends.
