Analytics Senior Manager
Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Senior Manager in Branch Oversight & Support within Consumer Banking & Lending. Front Line Monitoring (FLM) is transitioning from a rule-based model to an AI-driven, agent-enabled analytics platform focused on speed, scale, and risk clarity. This role will lead advanced analytics initiatives to accelerate FLM’s evolution, operating at the intersection of risk monitoring, AI, and innovation. The position emphasizes delivering solutions that enhance risk detection while maintaining strong governance and audit defensibility, shaping the future of FLM operations.
About the Role
- Next-Gen Monitoring Transformation: Lead the shift from traditional rule-based monitoring to an AI-driven, anomaly-focused model to improve risk detection precision and speed.
- End-to-End Analytics Lifecycle Ownership: Drive solutions across the full lifecycle—problem framing, data design, model development, and insight delivery—within a scalable, reusable, and configuration-driven environment.
- AI & Innovation at Scale: Champion and operationalize AI, agentic workflows, and coding assistant tools (e.g., Copilot-enabled development) to enhance monitoring design, execution, and governance.
- High-Impact Delivery with Visibility: Partner with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights that improve risk clarity and influence decision-making.
- Team & Capability Build-Out: Lead and develop a future-ready, AI-fluent analytics team, serving as a hands-on leader and technologist to solve complex problems and accelerate delivery.
- Shaping the Operating Model: Advance FLM’s target-state lifecycle by combining strategy, execution, and innovation to improve monitoring design, delivery, and scalability.
Requirements
- Advanced Analytics Leader: Deep experience in analytics, anomaly detection, and data-driven problem-solving, with the ability to translate complexity into measurable outcomes.
- Hands-On Technologist: Proficiency in Python and SQL, with working knowledge of SAS and modern visualization tools, and a track record of building end-to-end solutions.
- AI Champion with Growth Mindset: Demonstrated enthusiasm for AI, LLMs, or intelligent automation, paired with curiosity and a commitment to responsible innovation.
- Executive Communicator: Ability to simplify and present complex analytics to senior stakeholders and influence across Risk, Business, and Technology teams.
- Versatile, High-Ownership Operator: Thrives in fast-paced environments, brings a solutions-oriented mindset, and balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
- People Leader: Builds strong teams, develops talent, and fosters a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
- Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading the design and implementation of automated risk monitoring or surveillance solutions in complex environments.
- Ability to translate risk and control requirements into scalable, production-ready technical solutions.
- Deep expertise in data-driven monitoring, analytics, and automation frameworks that improve speed, consistency, and coverage.
- Experience reducing manual processes by building reusable, standardized monitoring capabilities.
- Experience partnering across Risk, Front Line, Governance, and Technology teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
- Strong understanding of front-line risk management (FLM), control environments, and regulatory expectations.
- Track record of driving modernization initiatives, including scaling capabilities across multiple lines of business.
- Ability to design solutions adaptable to evolving platforms, products, and risk landscapes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.

Pay
Salary range is determined by job location and may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors. The base pay range for this position is $139,000.00 – $239,000.00. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
