Aperia Solutions is a Texas-based fintech and managed consultancy firm specializing in custom SaaS applications and software-based solutions for the payments, banking, and processing industry. Founded in 1999, Aperia offers business intelligence, risk management, compliance, and customer intelligence platforms to banks, processors, payment facilitators, merchant service providers, independent sales organizations, and government entities.

About the role

A successful Analytics Engineer at Aperia will design the merchant data foundation, build analytics from scratch, and own projects end-to-end on a small, high-impact team. You’ll operate across data engineering (~10%), analytics engineering (~80%), and business intelligence (~10%), serving as a core technical point of contact for business stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build analytics from the ground up while the underlying data model is still being defined
  • Handle regular and evolving ad hoc requests, often from senior management with imperfect data
  • Turn high-level requirements and business needs into reliable pipelines that make analytics frictionless for downstream users
  • Perform dimensional and semantic data modeling, performance tuning, and create clean, consumable datasets
  • Design, build, and operate analytics pipelines with testing and monitoring built in
  • Discover, evaluate, and onboard new datasets; manage connectors and ingestion methods
  • Integrate source systems into the central Snowflake platform and troubleshoot failures, latency, and data quality issues
  • Break down ambiguous problems into structured, solvable components
  • Operate in a high-paced environment with unpredictable, deep ad hoc requests and imperfect data

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business analytics, engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience designing data models and pipelines, and handling ad hoc analytics requests
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills
  • Strong Snowflake experience (ingestion, transformations, access patterns, governance basics) with the ability to operate independently
  • Proven ability to break ambiguous problems into structured, solvable components
  • Strong analytical and systems-design skills
  • High-ownership, proactive mindset with the ability to run multiple workstreams without constant direction
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the selection process
  • Must have authorization to work in the country without the need for sponsorship (this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification
  • Familiarity with geospatial data
  • CI/CD pipeline development experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced, technical, and contribution-oriented environment
