Responsibilities
- Perform analytical method development and routine laboratory testing using advanced separation and biochemical methods.
- Execute hands-on testing using HPLC/UPLC systems with a focus on Reverse Phase, SEC, HIC, and IEX techniques.
- Conduct capillary electrophoresis (CE, cIEF) and Simple Western workflows to characterize large molecules, proteins, and mRNA.
- Utilize specialized detection and characterization tools, including MALS/RI/UV, CAD, DLS, and Zeta Potential.
- Manage data processing, perform thorough scientific data reviews, and accurately document results in electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Draft, prepare, and update essential scientific documentation and comprehensive technical reports.
- Oversee routine instrument maintenance, monitoring, tracking, troubleshooting, and minor technical repairs.
- Prepare laboratory reagents and maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.
- Clock in and out of multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt efficiently to a rapidly changing, fast-paced project environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- M.S. in a scientific discipline.
- B.S. in a scientific discipline.
- For Ph.D. holders: Minimum of 2 years of experience in analytical chemistry or a related field.
- For M.S. holders: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry.
- For B.S. holders: Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Required software proficiency in Empower, 32 Carat, or equivalent laboratory data systems, alongside Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proven track record of working independently as well as seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Strong focus on large-molecule/biologic workflows (proteins, mRNA) with additional exposure to small molecules (lipids) preferred.
- Requires the physical ability to work hands-on in a laboratory setting, managing reagent preparation and technical instrumentation tracking daily.
- Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proactive, positive attitude toward learning new techniques.
