About the role
Analytical Laboratory Technician responsible for performing chemical, biological, physical, and mechanical analyses and testing to support application engineering, research and development, and quality control of processes and products. Works with moderate direction while independently identifying issues and contributing to problem resolution. Supports the compilation, analysis, interpretation, and documentation of test results. The ideal candidate has laboratory or technical experience, strong mechanical and chemical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively on a self-directed team.
Responsibilities
- Perform chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and testing to support application engineering, research and development, and quality control of processes and products.
- Follow established procedures, test methods, and inspection requirements to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Identify issues and problems during testing and analysis and seek assistance when needed to resolve non-routine issues.
- Assist with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting test results and technical data.
- Support laboratory and technical activities related to product and process evaluation.
- Apply sound scientific and engineering principles to laboratory testing and technical problem-solving.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of testing activities, observations, and results.
- Work effectively as part of a self-directed team while managing assigned activities with moderate direction.
- Contribute to identifying product improvement opportunities and developing solutions to technical problems.
- Follow applicable chemical handling, laboratory, safety, and operational procedures.
- Communicate technical information effectively with team members and relevant stakeholders.
