ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform chemical analyses, tests, and experiments on samples using a variety of laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • Prepare and standardize chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for analysis.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and in proper working condition.
  • Follow established protocols and methods to conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, recording observations and results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, and documentation of laboratory findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, scientists, and technicians, to support research and development projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, protocols, and regulatory requirements in the laboratory.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues or deviations in experimental procedures, equipment, or results, and propose solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements, techniques, and industry standards in the field of chemistry.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, including proper storage and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably as a chemist or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical principles, laboratory techniques, and analytical instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, chromatographs, and titrators.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a laboratory environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate complex data.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in recording observations and results.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and document findings.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and computer applications used in data analysis and laboratory documentation.
