Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation, including but not limited to: HPLC, GC/GC-MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, IC, UV-Vis.
- Operate, maintain and calibrate radiation measurement equipment, including but not limited to: HPGe, Gamma Counter, LSC (with alpha and beta counting modes), Alpha Spectrometer, gas proportional counters, dose calibrators, survey meters, and wipe test counters.
- Prepare and analyze samples (radioactive and non-radioactive) with a variety of instrumentation.
- Perform radiochemical separations as needed to support product development.
- Review, evaluate, prepare and follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Protocols and Reports.
- Understand and prepare equipment documentation.
- Conduct testing to generate data in support of product development and production.
- Engage in inter and intra departmental collaborations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related physical science and minimum two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory making cGMP / GLP measurements is required.
- Two (2) years previous experience in a radiochemistry position with an understanding of radioisotopes used in nuclear medicine desired.
