Analytical Chemist

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analyst for elemental impurity testing by ICP-MS, including sample preparation, analysis, data review, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Perform LC (Liquid Chromatography) analyses for method development, method optimization, validation activities, and routine sample testing.
• Provide additional analytical testing support services using standard analytical and characterization techniques (GC, IR, KF, etc.) when requested.
• Provide backup support to ensure on time testing services.
• Provide customer service and exhibit customer interface skills.
• Ensure activities are performed according to the appropriate SOP or test method

Qualifications

• Desired skills: Skilled in analytical testing instrumentation, ICP-MS, and LCKnowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, instrument software applications and laboratory management software systemsStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral, interpersonal and written) skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Qualifications: BS/MS in Chemistry, or other related scientific degree concentration3+ years of lab experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industryStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required
