About the Role

As an Analytic Methodologist at Booz Allen, you will help turn complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. You’ll work with clients to understand their questions and needs, then analyze their data-rich environments to find meaningful insights. Your work will involve developing algorithms, systems, and data models to provide objective answers and help clients make informed decisions. This role allows you to use data science for impactful work across sectors like fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualizations of targeted data sources.
• Conduct quantitative social science research, including survey design, analysis, or field/laboratory experiments.
• Use statistical and general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, and mining.
• Collaborate with clients to define problems and deliver actionable insights from disparate data sets.
• Pay strict attention to detail in all analytical and documentation tasks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, mining, decision analysis, or modeling and simulation.
• 3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Experience developing predictive data models and quantitative analyses in a professional environment.
• Experience conducting quantitative social science research (e.g., survey design, field/laboratory experiments).
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in scientific techniques (e.g., mathematics, statistics, AI, machine learning, data mining, data engineering), or 7+ years of such experience in lieu of a degree.

• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Master’s degree in Quantitative Social Science (preferred); Doctorate degree (a plus).

Pay

The projected annual salary range for this position is $77,600 to $176,000 (USD), determined by factors such as location, education, skills, experience, and organizational requirements.

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite, depending on the position’s requirements:

• Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have cameras on during meetings to support engagement and communication.
