About the role
CreditSights is seeking an Analyst to join the Global Strategy team based out of Charlotte. As a leading voice in credit research, our expert insights are featured in top publications such as Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times. The candidate will support the US strategy coverage effort, including macroeconomic analysis, monitoring credit fundamentals, maintaining databases, canvassing news sources, interpreting market technicals, relative value analysis, writing research reports, preparing slide decks, and participating in meetings.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to data analysis and writing of research reports.
- Build, update, and maintain models and databases.
- Interpret credit market data for portfolio recommendations.
- Maintain debt capital market conditions across US investment grade, high yield, and broadly syndicated loans.
- Prepare presentation materials for clients/participate in client meetings.
Requirements
- Strong numeracy, problem-solving, and writing skills.
- Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent).
- Education to a bachelor’s degree level or equivalent.
- Experience in a credit research, economics, investment banking, or debt capital markets role.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and FactSet.
- Hands-on experience with Claude/GPT, Bloomberg API/BQL, and/or Python.
- A passion for financial markets.
- Ability to produce high-quality outputs under pressure and in a timely manner.
- Team player spirit and enthusiasm for working collaboratively.
Qualifications
- Education to a bachelor’s degree level or equivalent.
- Experience in a credit research, economics, investment banking, or debt capital markets role.
- CFA charterholder or demonstrated progress toward attaining a CFA charter.
- Experience with Bloomberg and FactSet.
- Hands-on experience with Claude/GPT, Bloomberg API/BQL, and/or Python.
- A passion for financial markets.
- Ability to produce high-quality outputs under pressure and in a timely manner.
- Team player spirit and enthusiasm for working collaboratively.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, with a methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
