About the Role

The Analyst, Transactions Management will support acquisitions, financing, disposition, and other strategic transactions across April Housing’s affordable housing portfolio. The Analyst is responsible for coordinating due diligence, reviewing transaction-related documentation, managing closing deliverables, and driving execution across multiple concurrent workstreams. The Analyst will work closely with Asset Management, Capital Markets, Legal, Accounting, Tax, Compliance, Property Management Companies, brokers, lenders, consultants, and outside counsel to facilitate successful transaction execution.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independently managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role will report to April Housing’s Senior Associate, Transactions Management and will lead full-cycle due diligence on assigned capital markets, acquisitions, and dispositions. The candidate will assist in reviewing documents and coordination of due diligence tours and third-party vendors. This person will be the lead point of contact with all sellers to coordinate new acquisition activity, communicating with both Blackstone’s acquisition team and the April Housing team (Asset Management, Risk, Tax, Accounting, and Legal Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and distribute due diligence materials through virtual data rooms and internal systems for acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings.
  • Manage closing activities for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
  • Manage transaction checklists, timelines, critical dates, and closing deliverables.
  • Coordinate directly with outside counsel, title companies, lenders, brokers, consultants, and operating partners throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Track and escalate outstanding items to maintain transaction timelines.
  • Assist in reviewing documents and coordination of due diligence tours and third-party vendors.
  • Review third-party reports and seller-provided statements of operations.
  • Review transaction documents and identify potential risks, outstanding items, and closing dependencies.

Minimal travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant real estate experience (asset management, operations, transactions, or acquisitions).
  • Passion for real estate and investing.
  • Experience in affordable housing or multi-family real estate preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of high achievement in demanding professional and academic settings.
  • Superior analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, motivated, energetic, and independent with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent references.

Pay

Base Compensation Range: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually. Actual base compensation may vary based on factors including location and experience. This role is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
