Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly compliance activities and prepare and file tax returns for multiple state and local taxing jurisdictions.
• Respond to tax inquiries regarding exemption certificates.
• Assist on state and local sales tax audits.
• Assist in researching, analyzing, and reporting findings related to multi‑state tax laws on all sales and use tax matters, including keeping current on changes to all state and local sales tax laws.
• Reconcile or review assigned tax liability accounts.
• Prepare state and local tax registrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (required).
• 0–5 years of experience working in a multi‑state transaction tax environment.
• Self‑motivated individual able to work in a dynamic, team‑based environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and research skills.
• Exceptional organization skills with the ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to meet deadlines while paying attention to details.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

Location: Houston, Texas, USA. Shift: Day. Travel: Up to 10 % of the time. Job level: Individual Contributor.
